Leaderboard
Gamify learning and track top-performing users and groups based on course completions.
The Leaderboard is a powerful gamification and tracking tool designed to foster healthy competition and boost engagement across your organization. It provides a clear, ranked view of who is leading in learning achievements based on course completions.
By utilizing the Leaderboard, you can easily identify your most engaged learners, foster team-based learning initiatives, and reward top performers.
To access this feature, navigate to People > Leaderboard in the Admin Portal sidebar.
1. Tracking Individual Learners
The default Learners tab highlights individual performance. It ranks users across your entire tenant based on the total number of courses they have successfully completed.

- The Podium: At the top of the page, the system visually highlights the top three performers in a podium layout (🥇 1st, 🥈 2nd, and 🥉 3rd place). Each card displays the user's avatar, name, and total completions.
- The Ranked List: Below the podium, the remaining learners are listed in descending order starting from Rank #4. The table provides a quick scannable view of their rank, identity, and exact completion count.
Use Case: The Learners tab is an excellent tool for identifying highly engaged employees who might serve as internal subject-matter experts or mentors for their peers.
2. Fostering Team Competition
Switching to the Groups tab allows you to view course completions aggregated by specific teams, departments, or cohorts.

A group's score on this leaderboard is the combined total of course completions from all its individual members. Just like the Learners view, the Groups tab features a Top 3 Podium followed by a ranked list of the remaining groups.
Use Case: This view is perfect for driving departmental compliance races or tracking which branches of your organization are adopting the learning platform the fastest.
3. Time Filtering
In the top right corner of the page, you will find the Time Filter Dropdown. This feature allows you to adjust the scope of the leaderboard data to match specific learning initiatives.
You can filter the rankings by the following timeframes:
- This Month / Last Month
- This Quarter / Last Quarter
- This Year / Last Year
- All Time
Instead of only viewing historical, all-time records, you can use these exact intervals to narrow the focus and run time-boxed events such as monthly onboarding challenges, quarterly learning sprints, or annual compliance races.
