Data & Privacy
Manage data retention policies, GDPR controls, and user privacy settings.
Data security and regulatory compliance are critical for enterprise organizations. The Data & Privacy page allows you to verify where your data is physically hosted, request a complete export of your organization's records, and easily access all of our legal agreements.
To access this page, navigate to Configuration > Data & Privacy in the Admin Portal sidebar.
The page is divided into three tabs: Data Hosting, Data Export, and Legal Resources.
1. Data Hosting
The Data Hosting tab provides transparency into the geographic location of your organization's data infrastructure.
- Data Hosting Region: Displays the geographic region (e.g., European Union, US East) you selected during your initial workspace registration. Knowing your hosting region is essential for complying with local data privacy laws like GDPR or CCPA.
- Note: If your company relocates or you need to migrate your data to a different region after registration, please click the contact support link to initiate a secure data migration request.
- GLOBAL+ Add-on: If you have an international workforce spanning multiple continents, you can explore our GLOBAL+ infrastructure. This upgrade provides a dedicated Global CDN and multi-region data redundancy to ensure enterprise-grade speeds worldwide.
2. Data Export
We believe you own your data. If you ever need to perform an internal audit, back up your compliance records, or offboard from the platform, you can request a complete export of your tenant's data at any time.
To export your organization's data:
- Navigate to the Data Export tab.
- Click the Request Data Download button.
- Our servers will automatically compile your users, course records, enrollments, and organizational metadata into a secure archive.
- Once the compilation is complete, you will receive an email containing a secure, time-sensitive download link.
Export Processing Times
Depending on the size of your organization and the amount of historical data (e.g., thousands of users, attachments, and support tickets), the export process may take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.
3. Legal Resources
The Legal Resources tab acts as a quick-reference library for TechClass's official policies and compliance documentation.
Clicking any of these links will open the respective document in a new tab:
- Privacy Policy: Detailed information on how we collect, store, process, and protect data.
- Terms of Use: The rules, guidelines, and terms governing the use of the TechClass platform.
- Cookies Policy: Information regarding our use of cookies, tracking technologies, and how to manage your preferences.
- TechClass Trust Center: Our comprehensive security portal. Here you can review our compliance certifications, system uptime status, and advanced security practices.
