Navigation & Portals
Understand how TechClass is divided into role-based portals and how users navigate between them.
TechClass is designed to be powerful for administrators but incredibly simple for end-users. To achieve this, the platform is divided into distinct Portals.
Users can navigate between their assigned portals using the blue top navigation bar. A user will only see the portals they have permission to access. For example, a standard employee will only see the Hub and Learner tabs, while you (as the admin) will see all of them.
Here is a breakdown of each portal and the pages within them.
1. The Hub
The Hub is the central landing area for your organization. It acts as a digital bulletin board where all users — regardless of their role — can see company-wide updates.

Available Sections:
- News: Important announcements, deadlines, and company updates broadcasted by admins.
- Links: Quick access to external company resources (e.g., HR portals, IT Help Desks).
- Files: Shared documents and memorandums available to the entire organization.
2. Learner Portal
The Learner Portal is where education happens. This is the primary workspace for employees, customers, or partners taking courses. It is designed to be distraction-free, focusing entirely on the user's progress and content.

Available Pages:
- Dashboard: A high-level overview of ongoing courses, upcoming events, and completion activity charts.
- Learning:
- Explore: The course catalog where learners can self-enroll in available training.
- My Courses: A detailed view of all active and completed course enrollments.
- My Learning Paths: Structured, multi-course programs assigned to the learner.
- My Playbooks: Access to specific guides, SOPs, or structured workflows.
- My Certificates: A repository of earned certificates available for download.
- My Performance: Personal learning analytics and progress tracking.
- L&D Resources: Additional learning materials provided by the organization.
- Tools:
- Prompt Library: A curated collection of AI prompts to assist in daily tasks or learning.
- Community:
- My Groups: Access to assigned learning groups or cohorts.
- Events: A calendar of upcoming live training sessions or webinars.
- Support:
- Help Desk: Where learners can submit support tickets if they run into issues.
- FAQ: A knowledge base to self-serve answers to common questions.
3. Instructor Portal
The Instructor Portal is dedicated to educators, subject matter experts, and trainers. It provides the tools needed to manage the specific courses they are assigned to teach, without giving them full administrative access to the platform.

Available Pages:
- Dashboard: Metrics on course enrollments, completion rates, and learner ratings.
- Courses: Management interface for the courses they actively instruct.
- Playbooks: Access to instructional playbooks and teaching guides.
- Enrollments: A roster of all learners currently taking their courses.
- Events: Scheduling and hosting tools for live instructional sessions.
- Help Desk: An inbox for answering direct questions from their learners.
4. Group Lead Portal
The Group Lead Portal is designed for department managers, team leads, or regional supervisors. It allows them to monitor the training compliance, progress, and engagement of their specific team members.

Available Pages:
- Dashboard: High-level metrics on the group's overall enrollment status and top learners.
- Learners: A directory of the employees/members within their assigned group.
- Enrollments: Detailed tracking of what courses the team is taking and who is falling behind.
- Conversation: The primary tool for direct interaction and communication with group members.
- Events: Scheduled interactions, meetings, or webinars specifically for the group.
- Leaderboard: Gamified rankings based on learner engagement and performance.
- Hub: The central repository for shared group content and announcements.
- Playbooks: Specific guides, SOPs, or structured resources assigned to the group.
- Prompts: AI or discussion prompts tailored for group members.
- Group Leads: A list of other managers who co-manage the group.
5. Admin Portal
The Admin Portal is your command center. It contains every tool needed to configure the platform, build courses, and manage the organization's data.

To keep things organized, the admin sidebar is divided into expandable categories:
- Learning: Overview, Courses, Learning Paths, Enrollments, Compliance, Settings.
- People: Overview, Users, Groups, Performance, Events, Hub (Announcements/Links), Settings.
- Analytics: Advanced reporting, BI dashboards, and data exports.
- Support: Overview, Help Desk, FAQ, Settings.
- Configuration: Organization, Appearance, Access Management, Integrations, Data & Privacy.
- Billing: Subscription plans, licenses, and payment history.
6. User Preferences & Avatar Menu
No matter which portal a user is currently in, they always have access to their personal settings via the Avatar Menu in the top right corner.

Available Options:
- My Profile: Update personal information, profile picture, and contact details.
- Settings: Manage notification preferences and security settings (like passwords).
- Accessibility: Adjust platform settings for screen readers and visual accommodations.
- Privacy Center: Review data consents and export personal data.
- Appearance: Toggle the platform between Light Mode, Dark Mode, or match the user's System settings.
- Sign Out: Securely log out of the TechClass platform.
