Expert Workshops
See the workshops TechClass experts run for teams, find out which ones your learners are interested in, and talk to our sales team to book one.
Expert workshops are sessions led by TechClass experts for your teams. Each workshop has a set length, is run in one or more languages, and is offered online, in person, hybrid, or a combination of these. This page explains what you see in the Admin Portal, how learners show their interest, and how to book a workshop.
To see the catalogue, navigate to Learning > Expert Workshops in the Admin Portal sidebar. Viewing it needs the Learning permission.
1. The workshop catalogue
The Expert Workshops page shows every workshop TechClass currently offers, one card each. A card shows:
- The name and a short description of the workshop.
- Duration — how long the workshop runs.
- Languages — the languages it can be run in.
- Formats — online, in person, hybrid, or several of these.
- Interest — how many learners in your workspace have said they are interested.
The interest count only ever counts your own workspace's learners.
2. A workshop's page
Select a workshop's name to open its page. Besides the details above, it shows:
- Related — Course Library courses and other workshops TechClass has linked to this workshop. Each course shows whether it is an Essentials or a Skills course and opens the course's page; each workshop opens that workshop's page.
- Interested learners — the learners in your workspace who said they are interested in this workshop, newest first, with their email and the date they asked.
3. How learners show interest
Learners find Expert workshops in the Explore tab of the Learner Portal and can mark any workshop with I'm interested. They can take the flag back at any time. Learners are told that their administrator can see this.
Learners can flag Skills courses the same way. To see who asked for a Skills course, open the course from Learning > Courses > Course Library and choose its Interested learners tab — see Skills Licenses for how to give them access.
4. Booking a workshop
Workshops are not booked or paid for in the app. Press Talk to sales on the Expert Workshops page or on a workshop's page: our sales team agrees the workshop, the date, the format and the price with you.
Tip: before you talk to sales, open the workshop's page to see how many of your learners asked for it and who they are. It helps size the session.
